SAP BTP Developer

project Overview – CIS Transformation

AXL is seeking experienced SAP BTP Developers to support a large-scale CIS transformation program for a major utility client. The program is approaching go-live and will transition into hyper care and system stabilization.

The SAP BTP Developers will support cloud applications, integrations, APIs, and technical services built within the SAP Business Technology Platform. These resources will troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, make code changes, perform testing, and help maintain application stability during a fast-paced go-live and hypercare period. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SAP BTP development experience and the ability to support applications and integrations across a complex SAP environment.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

 

· Support SAP BTP applications throughout go-live, hyper care, and system stabilization.

· Review, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve technical defects and support tickets.

· Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and services within SAP BTP.

· Build and support APIs and integrations between SAP and external systems.

· Troubleshoot application, integration, and production-support issues.

· Perform code changes, unit testing, defect validation, and technical documentation.

· Support application deployments, monitoring, and production releases.

· Collaborate with SAP IS-U, ABAP, functional, integration, and technical teams.

· Determine whether production issues originate in the BTP application, integration layer, or SAP backend.

· Work independently while managing multiple high-priority tickets during hypercare.

 

Must-Have Qualifications

 

· Strong hands-on SAP BTP development experience.

· Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js, Java, or SAP CAP development.

· Experience developing and supporting SAPUI5 or Fiori applications.

· Experience building and troubleshooting APIs and SAP system integrations.

· Experience resolving production defects and supporting go-live or hypercare activities.

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams.

 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

· Experience with SAP Integration Suite or Cloud Integration.

· Experience with Core Data Services and SAP CAP.

· Experience with Cloud Foundry services and application deployment.

· Utility industry or CIS transformation experience.

· Previous experience supporting Accenture-led SAP programs.
