About the Role

Our North America-based client is looking for a SAP S/4HANA Cloud FICO Consultant to join a growing team supporting enterprise finance transformations. Consultants are responsible for the end-to-end implementation cycle of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system for our customers, working alongside cross-functional finance, IT, and business teams throughout the engagement. As a Cloud Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and launching of the system’s functionality and its customizations. You will provide key training for our customers to show them how they can get the most out of their SAP system, contributing directly to long-term client success and system adoption.This is a long-term engagement with strong potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud FICO solutions for clients across different industries and sectors.
  2. Work closely with business users, finance teams, and IT teams to gather requirements, define business processes, and translate them into SAP solutions.
  3. Configure SAP FICO end-to-end solution processes including but not limited to: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Banking collections, payment processing, dunning, clearing, settlements, and write-offs.
  4. Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and related operational modules.
  5. Lead functional testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and end-user training.
  6. Support data migration, conversions, and system content upgrades.
  7. Assist in SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration projects, ensuring alignment with new SAP technologies (e.g., SAP B1 to S/4HPC or SAP ByD to S/4HPC).
  8. Work closely with developers and technical teams to provide functional specifications for custom developments.
  9. Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement recommendations.
  10. Follow SAP Activate Methodology practices including Fit-to-Standard, Data Migration, and Testing workstreams.
  11. Work closely with our Presales and Sales teams during the presales process — preparing demos and providing input for project estimations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in English (C1 or C2) to maintain business-level conversations — this role involves direct client-facing communication with U.S.-based finance and IT teams, so fluency in spoken and written business English is essential.
  • 2+ years of experience as an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Finance and Accounting Consultant.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition implementations or migrations (end-to-end) — meaning you’ve been involved from initial requirements gathering through configuration, testing, and go-live support, not just one phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Must hold a valid SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition – Finance and Accounting certification.
  • Deep understanding of financial processes across professional services, financial services, wholesale distribution, technology, industrial, and consumer products industries.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to define functional business requirements and create detailed functional specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in a business or IT-related field.
  3. 5+ years of experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA ERP software solutions.
  4. Located in LATAM countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, or Puerto Rico — time-zone overlap with U.S. business hours makes collaboration with client teams seamless throughout the engagement.
  5. Knowledge of SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management) is a plus.
  6. Interviews will be conducted in English.
